American Girl Doll Room: What do you think?

I've been eying the American Girl Doll Rooms for a while.  They are really cute, but quite expensive. I think you could take big cardboard pieces and cut slits in them then put them together like the rooms on the website. What do you think? Should I try it?

Craft: Doll Book

If your dolls love to read, here is the perfect craft!
You will need...
*multiple sheets of paper (it depends on how long you want your book)
*any color of construction paper
*glue stick
*pencil/pen
*markers/crayons/colored pencils

First fold your paper in half and then fold in half again. Cut your paper into 4 equal parts using the folds as a guide. Then repeat this as much as you want for the length of your book. Remember two of your mini paper sheets will be the front and back of your book so you may want to make 2 extra mini sheets. Then when you have made enough sheets, glue them together. Then make a skinny rectangle the height of your book out of construction paper and glue it to your book (this is your book's spine). Then write your book. Don't forget a title and
